Product description

The Dropline is specially designed for dynamic mobility on rocky terrain. It is characterised by a lightweight air mesh construction and an optimal cushioning effect, so that you can last longer. The use of advanced synthetic materials in the upper allows us to use more material in the midsole, which provides softer comfort when putting on. This shoe also features a quick-drying Gore-Tex® Extended Comfort inner lining for long-lasting water protection and optimised breathability. The rounded Pomoca outsole offers optimal traction on all terrain types. The S-Path design allows natural rolling as well as a more efficient transition from heel to toe. The high-performance EVA midsole provides lightweight cushioning and comfort and minimises the impact force that acts on joints and muscles. Our in-house developed shoe technology guarantees excellent all-round protection in a wide range of alpine terrain types. The proven Salewa 3F system, the EXA shell coating and the heel cap guarantee your foot a secure hold and torsion strength. Inside, the breathable OrthoLite footbed provides optimal cushioning, wicks away moisture and provides your feet with a cooler, drier feel. The Dropline is the ideal shoe for safe ascending and descending on fast speed hiking tours in all weather conditions. It is inspired by the maximum comfort that Speed Hiker and Fastpackers want.

The BSCB was founded 1965 in order to promote the advancement of research in all branches of cell biology and to encourage the interchange of information. The Society organises a large annual conference each Spring and supports a number of other meetings across the UK relevant to cell biology. It helps promote the career development of young cell biologists and provides both travel funds for young researchers and summer research bursaries to undergraduates to work in BSCB member’s labs. The Society awards the Hooke Medal each year to a UK-based cell biologist who has made outstanding contributions to their field and since 2015 a medal to recognise outstanding female early career cell biologists. As of 2021, The Society now recognises up-and-coming young cell biologists with our new PhD and postdoc medals.

The BSCB runs annual competitions for cell biology imagery and science writing and also provides a range of highly popular informational resources for school pupils that are used across the globe. The BSCB plays an increasing role in raising awareness of science policy and funding issues in the UK.

The Society is supported by membership subscriptions and by a generous grant from The Company of Biologists, the publishers of the Journal of Cell Science, DevelopmentJournal of Experimental Biology and Disease Models and Mechanisms.
